LEvel 2 (SSI / AIDA***)
The level 2 is an intermediate course which builds on the skills learnt in the level 1 course.It is designed to cover the necessary skills and knowledge for recreational freediver to be able to safety freedive with or without a guideline.
The aim of the course is to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to independently plan and participate in freediving activities with similarly experienced freedive buddies.
The course is also designed to develop new skills and a higher knowledge of the safety procedures abd techniques for freediving such as freefalling, Frenzel equalizing, trainings tables and how to better adapt the body to pressure.
You will train this skills in the most common disciplines of freediving: static apnea, Dynamic apnea and constant weight.
The level2 will carry you past 60 ft. (20 meters) and develop the skills necessary to freedive to depths up to 90 ft. (30 meters.).
-Dalton's law, Boyle's law
-Buoyancy applied to deep diving
-Mammalian dive reflex
-The lungs at depth
-planing diving sessions
-The Buddy system
CONFINED WATER SESSIONS/POOL:
-(Refreshing of the level1 skills, fining techniques and body position.)
-Training tables 02 and CO2: static apnea and - Dynamic apnea to build tolerance to low 02 levels, high CO2 level and lactic acid.
-Rescue techniques and procedures for dynamic apnea:LMC and BO
-Training properly with a buddy for dynamic and static apnea.
OPEN WATER SESSION:
-(refreshing of the level 1skills)
-Free falling,self rescue techniques and safety diving.
-Training and rescue:free falling
Duration of the course: 3 days ( exemple:half friday,saturday a sunday)
PRICE: 300 €
including: freediving insurance, student kit, freediving equipement, swimming pool entry, and certification.
-Be 18 years of age or older (16 years with parent or guardian consent)
-be able to swim 200m without fins
-Have completed LEVEL 1 (AIDA ** course)
-Have no medical contraindications for freediving
-Provide medical certification
